The 33-year-old DJ-and-producer is busy working on new material after he teased earlier this week that he has worked with the "greatest artists of our generation".

Now the Scottish-born star has revealed plans to help his fans recreate his music at home.

He announced on Twitter on Friday (17.02.17): "I'll post liner notes for all my songs in 2017 detailing each instrument played so you can recreate my songs live in the comfort of your own home (sic)"

Liner notes is the name given to text printed on a paper insert issued as part of the packaging of a CD or on the sleeve of a record. They contain a mix of factual and anecdotal material and Calvin wants this information to help budding musicians perform his music.

He previously told his nine million plus followers he has been busy recording "feel incredible music" and is confident his next album will be his best yet.

In a series of posts, he spilled: "In 2017 I'm making music to make your soul happy !!!! Not feel good music. Feel INCREDIBLE music More joyful music in 2017. I feel like it's missing from the world. And it was missing from my life. So I created it !!!!"

"I worked with the greatest artists of our generation !!! I'm in the mixing stage now. I listen back and can't believe what we created !!!!! So excited to share this with you !!! !! Can u tell (sic)"

And Calvin has vowed that in 2017 he is "making music to make your soul happy".

Although no names are confirmed for collaborations, Calvin has previously worked with pop superstars such as Rihanna, Florence Welch and Ellie Goulding and has written songs for several artists including ex-girlfriends Rita Ora and Taylor Swift.

Calvin, 33, is taking a break from his album and his residency at Las Vegas club Omnia to attend the BRIT Awards next week at The O2 arena on February 22.

The EDM megastar is up for two prizes; British Single of the Year for 'This is What You Came For', his track with Rihanna, and British Video for the same song.
