Rihanna is crowned Queen of the Downloads after being named best selling artist online.

Rihanna sold more than an amazing 47.5 million virtual copies of her singles and albums in 2011 according to officials Nielson Soundscan.

2011 was a big year of music, and the top 10 digital downloads reflect just that.

In a close second place The Black Eyed Peas were named second most popular with 42.4 milleion downloads, the 2009 hit I Gotta Feeling hit 7.6 million downloads alone during the year.

Eminem and Lady Gaga came third and fourth getting 42.2 million and 42 million downloads, and Taylor Swift had 41.8 million download sales.

The rest of the top 10 was made up of Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Kanye West and Britney Spears.
