The 34-year-old singer has opened up about missing being in the group and the prospect of the 'Love Machine' hitmakers getting back together in 2017 for their 15th anniversary.

When asked on UK TV show 'Lorraine' show whether she has considered a reunion with the other Girls Aloud members - Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh - for the landmark date Sarah seemed very keen.

She responded: "I wouldn't say no, I do miss being on a stage. I love touring, I miss touring. I loved it when I was with the girls on the road."

She's not the first band member to indicate they would like to get back together, as Nadine Coyle said last year: "I hope so at some point. We need to get some more collaborations going."

However, it hasn't been all that friendly between the former bandmates, as Cheryl claimed Nadine was "full of s**t" for suggesting she never wanted the band to go their separate ways.

Meanwhile, Sarah is about to star in the stage musical version of the 1990 film 'Ghost' in which she take on Demi Moore's iconic big screen role of Molly.

Sarah claims to be quite shy but reveals that on stage she's a different person, as she explained: "I'm quite a shy person, but when I'm on a stage - it's like I come into something - I just change into something completely lairy and different. I have an alter ego when I'm on a stage."

Not prepared to wait for Girls Aloud to reunite, Sarah, 34, is also working on new solo material and has hinted at an exciting, top secret collaboration.

She said: "I have been back in the studio, actually, I'm collaborating with somebody. I'm not allowed to say [who it is] just yet.

"It is a British artist and he's related to somebody who's very worldwide known as well."
