The release of the yet-to-be-named record - which will be the follow-up to 2011's 'Screaming Bloody Murder' - and the signing to the Los Angeles label will mark the 20th anniversary of the 'In To Deep' hitmakers career.

The forthcoming album was written, engineered and produced by lead vocalist-and-guitarist Deryck Whibley.

Deryck - who recently is married to Ariana Cooper and was married to Avril Lavigne from 2006 to 2010 - said: "It's crazy to think that we started this band 20 years ago and so much has happened, and it all happened really fast. When I look back at everything it still feels like it's all so recent. I think this a good thing because it still feels like there is still so much to do ... which is why I am excited for a new album and to be releasing it with Hopeless Records."

The 36-year-old rocker - who is joined by Dave Baksh, Tom Thacker, Jason McCaslin and Frank Zummo in the band - is in better health of late having suffered with alcohol abuse in the past.

The 'Fat Lip' singer previously shared how he had to down shots of Jack Daniels whiskey before being able to perform.

Of the extent of his addiction, he previously said: "I drank to wake me up and get that fake energy. There were a lot of times I didn't even want to drink, but I was so tired that shots of Jack were all I could do to get on stage."

The band are set to embark on an extensive tour of the US as part of the 2016 Warped Tour, beginning on June 22 at the 'Road to Warped Tour in Anchorage, Alaska and wrapping on August 7 in Pomona, California.
