George Michael said “it’s amazing” he escaped serious injury when he crashed his car in August.

The ‘Faith’ hitmaker's Range Rover collided with a truck in Berkshire, England on 14 August and the star was subsequently arrested and quizzed by police on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs.

He was released without charge - and Michael is just thankful the accident wasn't more serious.

The singer says, "He came into my lane, and I had nowhere to go and ended up being battered between him and the central reservation, and I have to say it's f**king amazing that I'm alive."

The collision occurred just weeks after authorities handed Michael back his driving license in June. He was banned from the road for two years in 2007 after he was twice found slumped behind the wheel of his parked car in London.
