James Blunt releases his new album “Some Kind Of Trouble” on November 8 on Custard/Atlantic Records. The album was produced by Steve Robson (with co production by Greg Kurstin and Eg White) and sees the five times Grammy nominee start another chapter in his musical career with a new freshness and spontaneity pervading the whole record.

The single “Stay The Night” (out 1 Nov) exemplifies this mood, a sexy acoustic-guitar driven party song about “singing ‘Billie Jean’, and mixing vodka with caffeine”. Written by Blunt, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder and Steve Robson, it’s the sound of an artist at the peak of his powers and it’s also very much the sound of an artist having fun.

“Before, I would write a song and we’d go and record it. This time, it was very much come in with nothing”, recalls Blunt. “There was that sense of energy, let’s have fun in the studio and make a racket. It was great fun and felt natural.”

“Some Kind Of Trouble” follows up the enormous global success of Blunt’s two previous albums, 2003’s “Back To Bedlam” and 2007’s “All the Lost Souls” which between them sold  a staggering 18 million copies worldwide.

It was recorded largely in London with James’s regular touring band, with whom he will be back on the road in 2011, with dates to be announced soon.
