Rupert Stroud

Rupert Stroud

Leeds lad Rupert Stroud is giving away the lead track of his new album Chasing The Night all of this week to celebrate its release.

The album offers impressive, beat driven arrangements that are dynamic, inventive and at times sweetly intimate. The lyrics on this semi autobiographical record are emotive and thought provoking with vocals that have been compared to Richard Ashcroft and Jim Morrison.

Chasing The Night is a fine collection of songs which puts Stroud firmly in the emerging talent pool.

All of Rupert’s music is produced by the eminent Will Jackson (a member of 80’s band Magna Carta. Will’s previous credits include The Kaiser Chiefs, Embrace, The Cribs, The Music to name a few).

Rupert and his band (drums Mick Bedford; keys and guitar Mike Pearson) are playing the gig circuit with Chasing the Night and are receiving a great deal of attention with a loyal fan base and rapidly growing online hype.

The band have done several live lounge appearances and radio interviews with BBC DJs. They also recently played Live at Leeds 2012 alongside an incredible line up including The Enemy, Los Campesinos and Reverend and The Makers, Rupert has been tipped as one of the hottest young acts to emerge from Yorkshire.   Rupert has also recently released a charity single entitled Always to boost funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

100% of the profits will be donated to the UK’s leading dementia research charity. Listen and donate now at http://rupertstroudforaruk.com/ or find the track on iTunes.
