Elsie

Elsie

‘The Assassin’ is the debut single from sassy newcomer Elsie, who’s set to kick ass next year. It’s a loud and clear warning to any woman who would dare to make moves on her man not to bother - or do so at their peril.

And it would take a brave woman to mess with this particular feisty female. Produced by Jim Lowe, ‘The Assassin’ oozes attitude and showcases Elsie’s raspy vocals over an infectious beat and bassline.

Originally from Liverpool Elsie represents the army of alpha women who populate the world today. The ones you read about in the papers out-bloking the blokes and see dominating your Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Like the girls she sings about on her album, Elsie loves partying on a weeknight, looking for love - and lust - while making sure her career’s bang on track.

She’s predatory but romantic, sexual but not slutty, tough but vulnerable and not only expects to get all she wants in life, but knows she deserves it.

Elsie makes music for people who like to drink, dance and hear about real life over riff-heavy, Blondie-inspired tracks played by her band. She says: "I’m doing songs for people who listen to Rihanna or Lady GaGa, but love a bit of Kasabian or Arctic Monkeys too.

So there it is.
Elsie is a likeable, no-nonsense blonde girl with a passion for men, music, clothes and big nights out. She’s also a star in waiting.
