Just a few hours after we heard Radio One DJ Chris Moyles blasting out the new single from Alexandra Burke, we’ve managed to get out hands on a sneaky copy of it from YouTube!
Okay, so it’s no Jeff Buckley cover, and to be honest, sounds like she’s stuck her head in a Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna whirlpool for a bit too long, plus the fact that she named the single after a great movie is another kick in the face.
I’ve got to admit, I had great expectations for this X Factor winner, especially since she had the potential to topple Leona Lewis’ British crown… however, the OTT up-tempo-ness of this song is driving me mad after just a few listens!
As much as I hate to admit it though, I reckon it could be a grower, and after a couple of glasses of the old Rose wine on a Saturday night I most probably will end up pulling some shapes to it.
Thumbs up for her managing to blag man of the moment Flo Rida to help her out too, that’s bug news for our little British superstar wannabe… But don’t take my word for it, have a listen and tell me what you think… is it too much like every other pop star around at the moment, or is it a winner?
