Alexandra Burke is quite clearly desperate to follow in Leona Lewis’ footsteps and make it across the pond, and she has rather shamelessly dressed up as an American footballer in her new video in the hope that some Yankee might pick her up.
Whilst we have to admit that the gym has definitely done her figure a few favours, we can’t help but wonder why she is so desperate to lease the Americans, maybe because she’s fighting a losing battle with chart superstars JLS? I mean, they didn’t win The X Factor, and are STILL better than you… how gutted would you be?
So, the video for her new single ‘Broken Heels’ sees her swanning about in a ‘sexy’ version of an American football uniform and subliminally begging the USA to invite her over - I mean if it was for us Brits, surely she would have done a Katy Perry and worn a sexy West Ham strip instead?
So, we’re not loving this video, and note to Alex, you can NEVER make shoulder pads look cool unless your Kate Moss, and even then, it’s pushing it.
