First spilling onto the explosive underground scene at just 14 with heavy weight grime artist Flirta D, Dotstar brings you another massive hit Xpensive – a taster to what’s yet to come from his debut album 3D due to be released in June 2011.
The creative young artist has been hard at work in the studio collaborating with even more artists including Tinie Tempah, Giggs, Getts and Sway! The self named ‘Lagos boi’ has been setting the underground music scene alight in recent years, and gained major recognition, firstly among the underground scene with ‘Stick Up’ and then with the release of ‘She’s Killing Me’, which dominated the mainstream urban charts on channels such as MTV Base and AKA. To add to his success, ‘She’s Killing Me’ was also played all over 1 Xtra! The hit held the number 1 spot for 5 weeks on MTV Base – keeping off Tinie Tempah (who we know has had a great year!) ‘Xpensive’ first attack on mainstream charts, sustains a number of catchy versus, and sounds of Dotstar using a robotic overtone throughout the track. With Dotstar’s unique style in music, Xpensive is definitely set to be his biggest track to date.
