Rockers Pearl Jam have waded into the BP oil disaster debate with a poignant new video which closes with footage of the spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
The band has been associated with ocean conservation for years and they hope their latest video will help to fund the relief effort in the areas left devastated by the disaster at sea.
U.S. sales of the Amongst The Waves video via iTunes will benefit Conservation International's Marine Programs. Pearl Jam has also set up a page on its website which details the band's efforts toward ocean preservation, including its work with the Gulf Restoration Network.
The promo features concert footage of Eddie Vedder and his bandmates mingled with scenes of surfers and swimming kids enjoying the ocean.
