Rockers Slipknot were forced to scrap their Saturday night headlining spot at the Pain in The Grass festival in Washington after drummer Joey Jordison was hospitalised.

Details of his health emergency have not been released, but the rocker is expected to make a full recovery and, as we went to press, Jordison was expected to be onstage for Slipknot's show in Kennewick, Washington on Sunday night.

The band cancelled a string of European festival appearances last year after Jordison broke his ankle.

Slipknot also pulled out of a headlining spot at a September festival in their native Iowa. No reason for that decision has been released.
