Liars release a single, Plaster Casts Of Everything on 6th August followed by the brand new album, Liars - which i-D have declared their most impressive work to date - on 20th August 2007.The video for Plaster Casts Of Everything, directed by Patrick Daughters (Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, Kings Of Leon), sees Angus on a sinister car ride across the desert and can be seen on the band’s newly launched website, www.liarsliarsliars.com. Liars, play the Field Day festival on 11th August and have announced a new London date - playing ATP’s First Annual Halloween party, Release The Bats, at The Forum on 2nd November with an incredible line up that includes Deerhoof, Deerhunter, The Black Lips and Fuck Buttons. Prior to that Liars will tour the US as special guests of Interpol.‘Liars’, recorded on the heels of 2006’s ‘Drum's Not Dead’ somewhere between LA and Berlin, marks another bold transition for Angus Andrew, Aaron Hemphill and Julian Gross, this time exchanging theory for a more practical approach, one based on traditional song structures and instrument usage. I’d never felt like a songwriter ‘til this album, explains Angus. If you told me last year Liars would release a record like this, I would have laughed. "If you said I’d be playing guitar solos, I’d have called you a liar. We never know what we’re making ‘til it’s made this time I’m a bit shocked."
