Monty The Penguin is the star of this year's John Lewis Christmas Advert - one of the major events in the UK's festive calendar.

Tom Odell is the vocalist on this year's track, covering a John Lennon original - 'Real Love' - that's sure to get the happy tears flowing.

With last year's video racking up views of over 13 million, this year's is likely to get just as far, if not beyond.

Filmed back in July in London, there's snow, Christmas decorations and a respectable British family, of course including a shot of a John Lewis store.

A young boy is seen in the short film, playing with a penguin who seems to be his real-life friend, Monty.

When he realises that his faithful companion is getting lonely, the young boy - Sam - has someone waiting for him under the tree on Christmas morning.

It may be less ambitious than last year, but it's certainly a winning formula that they've returned to here - children waiting for the magic of Christmas, not only to receive gifts, but to share their love with those they hold closest.

And now the high street retailer have launched a selection of products online and instore that bare the lovely Monty and Mabel characters.

The toys have already sold out online, but with a huge demand we expect they'll back back in stock very soon.

Will you be treating yourself or your family to some Monty and Mabel products this Christmas? Our standout piece has to be the Christmas light for indoors or outdooors. What do you love?
