There has been somewhat of a baby boom in the celebrity world this year, with many of the top ladies in showbiz entering motherhood for the first-time, here's FemaleFirst's top 7 new mums of the year.

Megan FoxNeed we say more? The Transformers beauty, who is married to Hollywood hottie Brian Austin Green, managed to keep her pregnancy out of the limelight for some time and even kept the birth of little baby Noah, in late September, a secret from the media for weeks following his arrival. The American actress has since gushed about how amazing it is to be a mother: "The whole thing has been overwhelming because I didn't know you could love something so much, and I know people always say that but I love him so much it hurts..." she tells Jay Leno on The Tonight Show.

AdeleThe superstar singer and partner Simon Konecki welcomed a little boy in October this year, but have kept the baby's identity a secret since news of the birth came out. A source is quoted in the MailOnline as saying: "Adele and Simon are ecstatic at their new arrival. She was over the moon that they were expecting their first child together." However, it has been reported that Adele and Simon are keeping their child’s name and birth details a secret. It’s obvious that the new parents are attempting to shield the little one from mum's global spotlight, and we don’t blame them one bit for doing so.

Hilary DuffThe singer-and-actress gave birth to son Luca in March this year and has been spotted with the tot out and about, enjoying motherhood to the fullest. Hilary has said that having a baby has made her marriage to Mike Comrie stronger. She told Hollyscoop: "It's made [our marriage] stronger. Having a baby is a lot of hard work and you really depend on each other for a lot. There is so much love...you can't imagine it until it happens to you."

Drew BarrymoreSeeing her newborn daughter for the first time was the "best moment" of Drew Barrymore's life. The 37-year-old actress gave birth to daughter Olive in Autumn this year - her first child with husband Will Kopelman. The Hollywood beauty was instantly overcome with love, when she first saw baby Olive Barrymore Kopelman. She told People magazine: "It was positively the best moment of my life. My husband took a picture and I have that picture now forever and it's the coolest moment of my life, bar none. I look at it every day."

Jessica SimpsonShe has said that "motherhood is a dream" and her fiance Eric Johnson is "the best dad in the world" to their daughter Maxwell, it seems that the beautiful singer has come millions of miles since her 'Newlywed' days. Speaking on Katie Couric's new talk show 'Katie', Jessica  said: "Motherhood is a dream. It really is absolutely amazing. [Maxwell] had her first flight yesterday. Did not sleep! She didn't cry. She just wanted to babble."

Kristin CavallariThe reality TV star and and her fiance, American football player Jay Cutler, became first time parents in August this year. Kristin instantly got back into her pre-baby shape and has doted on her son Camden since his arrival. The former Hills star told People magazine: "It was the most incredible moment I've ever felt. With Camden, I've realised what really matters. We're a family." But the 25-year-old admits: "I like having this life that I'm responsible for. It's exciting and so rewarding but it's also a little scary!"

Anna PaquinWe have no idea how the actress and her True Blood co-star, and hubby, Stephen Moyer have managed to keep the sex and names of their almost five-moth-old baby twins a secret from the world. But, we sure salute them for succeeding in keeping their family life private from the spotlight. The Hollywood mama is said to be delighted at being a first-time parent. When she gave birth, a representative for the couple said: "We can confirm Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer recently welcomed their twins into the world. The babies were born a few weeks early, but are in good health and mom and dad are overjoyed."
