Caring for the umbilical cord is very important
New mums are turning to the internet instead of their midwife with simple baby care questions.
Recent research undertaken by Google shows that in their first week of becoming a parent, women's internet searches doubled with some of the most searched questions being:
How to change a nappy
How to bath a baby
How to put a baby to bed and help them sleep through the night
The results show that many first-time mums are more comfortable turning to the internet than their friends or midwife thanks tot eh convenience and embarrassment factor.
