Step in to the pens and here you and your little ones can pet lambs, baby goats and rabbits. And you will be able to admire Shetland ponies in the nearby paddocks. Stick around for feeding time where there's a chance to feed the calves and lambs with bottles. Take a goat for a walk and visit the pet nursury where you'll see baby chicks, guinea pigs and mice to pet.

Walk down to the aviaries where you will see a whole range of birds from the budgie to the huge birds of prey. World of Country Life Farm has lots of animals that are sure to put a smile on your children's faces.

Martello Children's Zoo, Essex

Located in the grounds of a 200 year old Martello Tower, here you can admire the views of the sea from the top of the tower and see Clacton's pier.

Here the farm is home to number of animals including cute guinea pigs and friendly goats. This farm will keep you little ones entertained throughout the day.

Stockley Farm Park, Northwich

When you arrive at the farm, you and your kids will be escorted from the carpark to the farm via tractor like a true farmer. Once ypu are there, visitors can make their way to the animal sheds where here you will be able to meet animals including cows, calves, pigs goats and lambs. And take a trip to the petting corner where your little ones wil get hands on experience and will be albe to hold a baby rabbid, guinea pig and a chick or duckling.

At feeding time, your children get to feed the baby lambs and goats. And there is even a sheep race where you can pick your winner and cheer them on. Every weekend you will be able to view the Birds of Prey display and at 3:30pm, visitors can watch a cow being milked live.

Millets Farm Centre, Oxford

Milliets Farm Centre is set around beautiful greenary and are home to many animals that are sure to be your kids favourites.

There farm includes alpacas, who orignate from South America, and are domestocated camels, visit the ponies, see the black Dexter cattles. There are many animals within this farm that will ensure your day is full and fun.

Petting Farms/Zoo's a great way to get children involved in animals and with many scattered around the UK for a cheap and reasonable price, there is no reason why you shouldn't take a visit to a petting farm.
