We have had so much fun taking pictures of our daughter since she came into the world. They form a story and help you to remember moments you might forget in the blur of parenthood. To celebrate National Camera Day- here are seven moments you’ll always want to remember with your baba.

When they are born- Depending on how your birth goes- try and take a picture as soon after your baby is born as possible. It’s incredible how much they change from that moment so it’s vital you snap them when they are still all squishy and bundled up in their baby blanket.

With everyone who visits: You are bound to get a lot of visitors when your baby comes home with you. Remember each person who was kind enough to show up by capturing the moment with a picture of them cuddling your little bundle of joy. If you get a good one- they make ideal presents for grandparents too!

Every time you put them in a new outfit: Take at least one image of your baby every time you put them in something new so you can look back at each of their little outfits. After they’ve grown out of them- you’ll still have a record of all the cute things they wore.

When they take their first bite: The day they start weaning- take a photo of them eating first ever solid food. Soon it will become the norm and you will forget the faces they pulled as they tried something other than milk. They can be hilarious!

When they sleep through the night: This is a milestone that parents are particularly proud of, so it’s important to take picture proof of when this happens! This image will always bring back the sense of relief you felt at being able to have a full night’s sleep again.

When they start smiling: This picture will fill your heart with joy every time you look at it. It’s the first time that you start to see your baby develop a little personality of their own and it’s precious.

When they get their first tooth: This is a big event in their first year. All the pain and tears of teething has been for a reason and it’s starting to show.
