Changing the baby's nappy doesn't have to be stressful, not if you have a fixed routine that you perfect time and time again.

Follow these steps from Pampers Love, Sleep & Play Expert and dermatologist Dr Tabi Leslie to help cherish change time so the only thing your baby feels while you’re changing her, is your love:

  • Step 1: Check

Clear a safe area and ensure you have everything you need close-by

By ensuring you’ve got everything you need nearby, including a high absorption nappy and good quality baby wipes (Pampers recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies and new Pampers Sensitive Wipes, which are 15% thicker and clean more gently with less wiping), nothing will get in the way of the loving moments you can share with your baby during changing time

  • Step 2: Clean

Apply the following principles to ensure the best clean for your baby

Keeping your little wriggler still during change time can be a challenge especially when you’re trying to minimise spreading mess, however keeping one hand on her tummy at all times can help.  Wiping backwards towards your baby’s bottom will also help to keep the nappy area as clean as possible

  • Step 3: Cuddle

During change time all your baby needs is your love

Change time allows you to focus intently on your little one without distraction; exchanging eye-contact deepens the bond and the loving connection you share. You’ll have your own unique way of bonding but you might be interested to know that skin-on-skin contact is important; it can help your baby be calmer and sleep better. So, whether it’s baby massage or blowing raspberries they love best, use the time to express love for your little one
