Prince Philip is spending his sixth day in hospital, whilst he receives treatment for a bladder infection.

The Duke of Edinburgh is currently at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, after the infection that he had during the summer flared up again while he was on his annual royal summer break at Balmoral.

He is said to be responding well to treatment, and if he is well enough to come out of hospital today, he will have spent the same amount of time in as he did during his stay in June.

The Queen attended a church service yesterday at Crathie Kirk, near Balmoral, and was said to be looking relaxed and not worried by the Duke's condition, so perhaps that shows that he is doing well.

On Friday, the Duke was ordered to get plenty of rest to speed up the healing process, so he has had no visits from members of his family. However, it is thought that the Queen has been in contact via telephone.
