Britain's Prince Harry is the most likely candiate to replace Duchess Catherine if she is too unwell to visit Malta, a report has suggested.
The Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant with her second child and has been suffering with severe morning sickness, which means she's having to decide whether she can attend her engagements on a case by case basis.
She had planned to travel to Malta this weekend to mark the anniversary of the island's independence.
However, it appears increasingly unlikely that she will be able to do so, as she continues to feel unwell.
In her absence, it is likely that Prince Harry will instead attend, having cancelled his previous plans for the weekend, The Malta Independent claims.
An official announcement regarding the two-day trip is still to be made, but it appears increasingly likely that Prince Harry will fulfil the majority of the Duchess' planned engagements on the island.
Despite this, a spokesperson for the British High Commission said the Duchess will still be travelling to Malta.
The spokesperson said: "Any other rumours are unfounded."
