Prince Harry has suggested the Invictus Games could be staged outside London in the coming years.

Harry was a driving force behind the event that saw former servicemen and women compete against each other - and he says it has already attracted interest from further afield.

He explained: "We've now got America showing interest in 2016 and Canada showing interest in 2017 so the question is what do we do next year?

"I personally, along with a couple of other people on the board, would love to keep it in the UK, maybe head north whether it be Glasgow, whether it be Sheffield, whether it be Manchester."

The Queen has already expression her admiration for the event and the competitors, saying: "The success of these games can be measured not by medals won, but by the renewed sense of purpose and confidence in your abilities that you have gained.

"I send my warmest good wishes and congratulations to you all."

Harry, who celebrates his 30th birthday today (15.09.14), closed the games in London by delivering a rousing speech before introducing popular rock band the Foo Fighters.
