Britain's Duchess Catherine is "enjoying" the final weeks of her pregnancy.

The 31-year-old royal - who is expecting her first child with her husband Prince William next month - made her final appearance last week at the official celebration of Queen Elizabeth's birthday, but is now said to be taking advantage of the time she has left before the new arrival.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "[Kate's] really enjoying her final weeks of pregnancy."

Catherine - who was struck with acute morning sickness early in her pregnancy - finds the nature of pregnancy intriguing and can't wait to see what her baby will look like.

The source added: "Kate finds pregnancy fascinating. She still says, 'I can't believe it' when you talk about a baby being inside her.

"They [Catherine and William] are both so excited and have so many questions. They want to know what the baby will look like and who it will take after."

The Duchess - who was known as Kate Middleton before her marriage - is expected to break royal tradition by moving back to her family's home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, so she can spend the first six weeks after the baby's arrival with her own mother, Carole Middleton.

Kate is expected to give birth in mid-July at London's St Mary's Hospital in the private Lindo Wing.
