Britain's Princess Anne will officially open the University Square Stratford today (05.11.13).
The 63-year-old royal will open the doors to the new campus, which is part of a unique collaboration between the University of east London, Birkbeck and the University of London.
The £33 million five-floor campus has 8,600 sq metres of teaching and performance space, as well as a number of lecture rooms and offices, which is orientated around a light-filled atrium.
The Princess will be able to watch a stunning performance from the dance students at the University of east London when their new college campus is opened.
Baanjii Muteto, who is in his third year studying Urban Practice, told the Newham recorder newspaper: "I performed for the Queen for the Diamond Jubilee. Performing for another Royal is a fantastic opportunity."
Stephanie McKenzie-Sealy added: "I have never performed in front of a member of the Royal family before and am totally thrilled."
