As part of some new updates on the way to Facebook's mobile version, word has come that you will soon be able to use a short, looping video as your profile picture, or rather, profile video. Along with this, the update will include new ways of changing your profile picture as well as introduce an easier method of controlling privacy settings.

After the recent popularity of Facebook's Celebrate Pride option, which allowed users to add a rainbow filter to their current profile picture, a looping video as a profile picture seems like a pretty good idea. A user will have the ability to set a profile picture which changes to a different specified one. The update will also bring an updated bio section and options to add a selection of pictures which will be visible at the top of your profile for anyone who visits your profile.

These new features are still in their testing phase in the UK right now, so it might be a little while before you see them in your mobile app.
