Dart Marina

A peaceful waterside setting; a chance to do as much, or as little, as you want to; and a menu which celebrates Christmas traditions and superb local flavours – that’s Christmas and New Year at Dart Marina.

The essential ingredients are there – a beautifully decorated tree, magnificent food and fine wines, Victorian games and a magical atmosphere.

Also, there are steam train rides, river boat cruises, scented spa treatments, a pantomime, music and dancing.  There are also quiet corners to read a new novel unwrapped on Christmas morning, endless walks to explore in wintery sunshine, and secret places to sit and escape.

Thursday 23rd December

The first warm scones come out of the oven.

Arrive and take in the scene, unpack and settle into your beautifully calm river view room before enjoying a warming glass of mulled wine

The unmistakable scents of baking will fill the air as the first warm scones are served – afternoon tea at Dart Marina is a feast in itself

Meet the team around the Christmas Tree and enjoy a glass of sparkling bubbles

Dinner will be served in our fine dining River Restaurant with dancing to live music and a chance to meet other guests

Friday 24th December – Christmas Eve

He’s behind you.

The first of your delicious English breakfasts of local produce, but leave room for traditional Fish & Chips in the Floating Bridge

The coach (not a glass one sadly!) will await to take you across the River on a short but stunning cruise on the Higher Ferry, then to Paignton and back by steam train, and if you’re feeling young at heart there’s a riverside panto!

Corks will pop, and tiny morsels of deliciousness will whet the appetite for a very special Christmas Eve dinner with table magic

If you are still awake, take part in the quiz, enjoy the live music and then hang up your stocking!
