Warm weather, long days and fewer crowds: early summer is an ideal time to take an active holiday in Canada and TrekAmerica are offering up to 20 per cent discount on their Canada tours.
 
The Canada trips are camping and lodging based, with a heavy focus on outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking and canoeing.
 
The 21-day Canadian Parks West camping trip offers a discount of 10 per cent on the May 31st departure. The trip now costs £1,161 per person. The itinerary includes a two-day overnight wilderness canoe trip, a whale-watching trip, visits to five national parks and four cities: Whistler, Vancouver, Victoria and British Columbia.
 
Included in the price is accommodation, camping equipment and fees, scenic Vancouver Island ferry, entrance to all national parks and monuments, services of a professional tour leader and private mini bus transport. Flights are excluded.
 
Departing on June 20th the Canadian Pioneer tour has a 20 per cent discount per person and now costs £688. This 14-day camping and lodging tour includes a trip on the iconic Niagara Falls Maid of the Mist. During the tour travellers will combine camping under the stars with several nights lodging accommodation. Travellers will also have the opportunity to brave the highest bungee jump in North America, in Canada’s capital Ottawa.
 
Accommodation, private mini bus transport, camping fees and equipment, wilderness canoe trip, Niagara Falls Maid of the Mist cruise, entrance to all national parks and monuments and the services of a professional tour leader are all included in the price. Flights are excluded.
 
For travellers with more time available to them, the 28-day Klondike Camping and Cruising Tour would be perfect – and TrekAmerica are offering a discount of 15 per cent on the July 17th departure. This tour covers Canada’s western seaboard in full and also visits Alaska. The itinerary includes a four-day Inside Passage cruise from Skagway to Seattle, a canoeing trip, whitewater rafting in British Columbia, hiking in Kluane National Park, panning for gold in the North American town of Chicken and sightseeing in Vancouver, Dawson City and Seattle.
 
With the 15 per cent discount the trip now costs £1,861 per person, excluding flights. The price includes accommodation, four-day cruise, canoe trip, hiking, sightseeing, entrance to all national parks and monuments, private mini bus transport, camping fees and equipment and the services of a professional tour leader.
