1) Jada Pinkett Smith will prove critics wrong with her portrayal of badass gangster Fish Mooney

"Fish does not have a lot of patience for Gordon!" laughs Jada, who's excited to be taking on the "role of a lifetime" in a world that she loves. It was one many weren't sure about when the casting was announced, but if these three minutes are anything to go by, she's going to take to the role like a Fish Mooney to water.

2) The casting for Oswald Cobblepot AKA The Penguin is spot on with Robin Lord Taylor

"He's gonna bring a whole new dimension to seeing what will ultimately become this legendary villain." says Ben Mckenzie, and we believe him. He's got the looks, the seemingly crazed fascination with violence and of course, a love for umbrellas. We can't wait to see just what he's going to offer to one of the biggest DC characters of all time.

3) The Joker could make an appearance

"What made The Joker, The Joker?" asks writer and executive producer Bruno Heller whilst teasing the upcoming series. Whilst he may simply be hinting at the destruction of the city of Gotham that forced these characters to come out, we're hopeful some of the Joker's origins are explored, despite some fans complaining that this should be kept a mystery.

4) So could the Scarecrow

"How did the Scarecrow become, The Scarecrow?" Bruno continues. Up until now, we thought we'd be seeing Penguin, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, The Riddler and Fish Mooney explored in depth, but it would be nice to see a bit more of this undervalued villain.

5) We're going to meet smaller names as well as big names from the DC Comics universe

"Every week there will be a new dark alley to go down, there will be a new villain who may be a famous villain or who may not." says Danny Cannon, director and executive producer, and it should prove interesting to be faced with some of the more promising yet less known names from DC.

6) Ben Mckenzie has well and truly left The O.C. behind

Playing Detective James Gordon, Ben's stepping into the shoes of the show's hero and will only be two weeks into his job where we pick up in the first episode. Far from the life of luxury he was granted playing Ryan Atwood in The O.C., he's now a down and dirty fighter for justice with an even grungier looking partner, Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue)

7) Gotham has everything it needs to be one of the best shows on television

It's got violence, it's got sex and it's got some of the biggest names from comic, film and television history. With some fantastic talent and brilliant scenes from what we've seen so far, it'd be a crime if this new series doesn't become a staple in everybody's weekly viewing.

Gotham comes to FOX in America this Fall.
