Tina O'Brien felt ugly after giving birth.
I didn't suffer from depression, but I think every new mum gets tired because your body doesn't feel like your own after you've given birth.
The 'Coronation Street' actress - who welcomed her first child, daughter Scarlett, with her co-star boyfriend Ryan Thomas into the world in October last year - convinced herself she was unattractive when she first went home with her baby.
Tina - who gained 35lbs during her pregnancy - said: "I felt really frumpy, not just because of the weight, but because you're in a transitional period as a new mum. Your life becomes totally devoted to your child, which is amazing, but you end sitting around in slobs covered in sick. I felt unattractive, but I was expecting to feel that way. I felt hormonal as well."
Despite her insecurities, Tina is adamant she didn't suffer from post-natal depression.
She added: "I didn't suffer from depression, but I think every new mum gets tired because your body doesn't feel like your own after you've given birth."
The 25-year-old actress has now lost all her baby weight, after going on a strict diet and exercise regime, and admits she feels great since shedding the pounds.
She said: "I feel really great now. I wasn't happy not being able to wear the clothes I wore before I got pregnant. But Ryan was great when I was feeling down. He kept telling me how gorgeous I was and made me feel glamorous and reminded me that I'd just had a baby."
