Continuing this evening is the hit drama series mfollowing a team of special agents who investigate Navy and Marine Corps-related crimes. In tonight’sepisode, Tony and Ziva’s disappearance leads to the discovery of a terrorist cell operating in the USA. While searching a port for a cache of smuggled weapons, Tony and Ziva spot an open freight container and move in to investigate. As they draw their weapons, they are surrounded by gunmen, and a firefight ensues. Retreating into the container for cover, Tony manages to take down one of the assailants, but the pair become trapped as the metal doors are slammed and bolted shut. As soon as the gunmen have retreated, Tony and Ziva attempt to call for help but discover that their mobile phones have no reception. “I suggest we bust out of here now,” says a panicking Ziva. Tony, on the other hand, remains calm and places his trust in the knowledge that Gibbs will find them. Back at HQ, Gibbs is already on the case, but things are looking bad. A conversation with a highranking Navy officer informs him that the missing freight container for which Tony and Ziva had been looking is thought to contain explosives from Iraq. It appears, then, that the agents are dealing not with smugglers, but international terrorists. A worried McGee tries to get a GPS trace on his colleagues’ mobiles, but they are still out of reach. In the container, Ziva continues to search for a way out, while Tony is more intent on looking through the cargo – it seems they have been locked in a container full of Bollywood DVDs. While he is initially pleased with this discovery, Tony soon realises that something is amiss and finds that the container has been fitted with fake panels at one end. Breaking through the plywood wall, they discover more boxes, but these ones do not contain films. Printed on the sides of the boxes are symbols indicating explosives and some Arabic script which Ziva translates as “death to America”. Worried that the bomb may be armed, Ziva and Tony gingerly remove the tops of the boxes, but instead of wires and explosives, they find bundles of cash. As they examine the find, Tony uses his skills to identify the notes as counterfeit. “Impressive,” reflects Ziva and she considers their situation, “but irrelevant. Real or not, our friends are coming back for it”. Gibbs and McGee are now at the control centre of the Norfolk Port Authority, where Tony and Ziva were last seen. The chief of port security seems unconcerned about the missing agents, deciding that they are probably just lost. “This is one of the largest ports on the east coast,” he explains. “Believe me, it happens all the time.” But Gibbs is not convinced: “My people don’t get lost,” he retorts, gravely. While Abby scans security footage for signs of Tony and Ziva, Gibbs and McGee stay in the port and have soon pinpointed the location of the disappearance. A trail of bullets and blood on the floor leads to a dead body, and forces the chief of security to finally appreciate the gravity of the situation on his hands. “It must have been one hell of a gunfight,” reflects McGee, as he begins to fear the worst for his friends. But Gibbs offers some uneasy reassurance: “If they were dead, I’d know about it,” he asserts. “They’re not dead.” As McGee re-examines the security footage from the port, he realizes that Tony and Ziva must have taken refuge from the gunmen in the open container. Realising that the agents must still be in the container, they resolve to search every box with the same markings. As they race back to the scene, they unwittingly come incredibly close to their prey, but it is too late – Tony and Ziva are on the move and are about to leave the port on the back of a truck.

Is this the last we will see of Tony and Ziva, or will Gibbs’s famed gut instinct save his team once more?
