We’re a couple of days into September, so we’ve decided to take a look at five of the best shows coming out this month that you HAVE to check out this month…

1. Narcos, Season 3 – Available now on Netflix

The critically-acclaimed series returns, but with Pablo Escobar’s story over, the show will this time be taking a look at the Cali Cartel; a dangerous drug cartel that you likely have never heard of. Check out the brilliant trailer above and then head straight to Netflix, as this is one that’s streaming right now!

2. Doctor Foster, Season 2 – Begins September 5 at 9pm on BBC One

Suranne Jones returns to the titular role in the second series of the BBC’s brilliant drama Doctor Foster. Having discovered her husband was having an affair and kicking him out of the family home, Dr. Gemma Foster will here likely be attempting to put her life back together. Of course, nothing ever goes smoothly in the world of drama – expect plenty of fireworks from this one.

3. Safe House, Season 2 – Begins September 7 at 9pm on ITV

With an all new cast and story, Safe House makes its return with True Blood actor Stephen Moyer heading up proceedings. Running this series’ police safe house, the actor’s joined by Zoe Tapper, Dervla Kirwan, Sunetra Sarker, Sacha Parkinson, Ashley Walters and Joel MacCormack. We can’t wait to see what this series has to offer.

4. American Horror Story: Cult – Begins September 5 (US) on FX, September 8 at 10pm on FOX.

Ryan Murphy’s horror series makes its comeback, this time tackling a number of fictional and real cults and their leaders, delving into the psyche of those who partake in cults and those who run them. We imagine there will be plenty of scares on this one and, if the early reviews are anything to go by, we should expect one of the best seasons of AHS ever.

5. Transparent, Season 4 – Available on September 22 on Amazon Prime

Jill Soloway’s Golden Globe Award-winning series makes its return, as the entire Pfefferman family go on a spiritual and political journey, delving into their family history like never before. The brilliant Jeffrey Tambor is back as Maura, who this season heads to Israel to speak at a conference before making a shocking discovery. This, as always, will be a bumpy ride. We can’t wait to see it.
