The hit comedy series Allo Allo is to return to the Beeb.The 1980s classic based on the Nazis occuping France was massive in its day.Gordon Kaye, who played the cafe proprietor René Artois and the majority of the orginal cast members are thought to have agreed to appear in a one-off reunion programme.Shooting of it will occur before a live audience at the Manchester based Granada Studios towards the end of this month. Producers have even apparently requested that the audience come wearing fancy dress.A source involved with the production is quoted as saying in the Sun:“It was a fantastic farce in its day.“The repeats are still popular even after all these years.” The "spoof" renowned for its use of catchphrases such as ‘Good Moaning’ and ‘Ah ze flashing knobs’often showed Rene comically getting into trouble when carrying out missions for the French Resistance.

The last episode of Allo Allo was screened in 1992 as the war was almost over and the town was freed by the Allies.
