Celebrities queued up and paid thousands of pounds to soak Piers Morgan and Alastair Campbell in the stocks - for a special star-studded episode of 'The Apprentice' for Comic Relief. The hour-long 'Comic Relief Does The Apprentice' will see Jo Brand serve food dressed as a clown and the Take That boys take charge of dodgems, as boys are pitched against girls in a bid to raise the most cash for charity and escape Sir Alan Sugar's dreaded words, 'You're fired!'. Former No 10 spin doctor Alastair, 49, journalist Piers, 41, actor Ross Kemp, 42 and DJ Danny Baker, 49, will take on Girls Aloud's Cheryl Cole, 23, comic Jo, 49, actress Maureen Lipman, 60, TV's Trinny Woodall, 42, and Birmingham City football boss Karren Brady, 36. Their task is to encourage a host of showbiz, sportspeople, and wealthy business folk guests - who include Simon Cowell and Chris Evans - to part with as much cash as possible at a tickets-only funfair at London's South Bank. The winning team will be revealed on the Comic Relief show on March 16, when viewers will be able to see some of the antics the celebrities got up to - and see the losing team 'fired' by Sir Alan.
