Hollyoaks' raunchy late evening sister show "In the City" has been pulled by Channel 4.The programme, which featured Gemma Atkinson in a number of sexy storylines, will not come back after bigwigs felt that its ratings weren't good. But the terrestrial channel stated that it was thinking about new possibilities for spin-off shows from the hit North-West based soap. The late evening In the City show carried on for 20 episodes on E4 from August last year and then was shown again on Channel 4.It took certain characters from Hollyoaks and put them into more adult plot lines.Yet it was not a huge success with telly audiences. An earlier spin-off series, Hollyoaks Let Loose, also had more naughty plots but that too was culled. The main Hollyoaks programme carries on being a staple of Channel 4 though, attracting an average of 2.2 million viewers in 2006 - it's greatest rating for three years.
