Former 'EastEnders' star Michelle Ryan is to star in a remake of 70s TV show 'The Bionic Woman'.The 22-year-old British actress - who played Albert Square's troubled Zoe Slater - left the soap a year ago and moved to the US.Now she has finally found her big break and will star in the new US TV sci-fi series.Michelle will play Jamie Sommers, a bright young tennis ace who is injured in a near-fatal skydiving accident and is transformed into a technological wonder with $50 million worth of bionic components implanted in her body.NBC's new pilot show will be a reinvention of the original 70s show which starred Lindsay Wagner, and was a spin-off of 'The Six Million Dollar Man'.When Michelle left 'EastEnders' to further her acting career, her character, Zoe, ran away to Spain after being an accessory in the murder of Dirty Den. Zoe had been in a relationship with Dennis Watts, but was sleeping with his father, Dirty Den, after he blackmailed her.She witnessed wife Chrissie kill him by hitting him over the head with a dog-shaped doorstop and helped to bury him in the cellar of The Queen Vic pub.
