Life on Mars actor Philip Glenister has apparently agreed to starring in the series' spin-off - which will be based in the 1980s this time.Ashes To Ashes will show his character DCI Gene Hunt eight years on when his partner will most likely be female.BBC1 gaffa Peter Fincham is quoted as saying in the Sun newspaper:“It will be more Miami Vice than The Sweeney.” Ashes to Ashes - also entitled after a David Bowie track - will be shown on our screens next year.We can't wait!
