Rumors of Ricki Lake's return to daytime TV have been exaggerated. Buzz of a comeback began a couple of weeks ago when the newly svelte Lake appeared as the guest cohost on The View."It was a really fun experience," Lake told Matt Donnelly at the Project A.L.S. Benefit at Paramount Studios in Hollywood on Saturday, "but I don’t know. No one has approached me yet, so there's nothing to consider."If Barbara Walters & Co. do come calling, Lake probably has the time to do it. Unfortunately, Lake says, it doesn't look like her pilot for ABC, The Middle, in which she plays the matriarch of a Midwestern working-class family, is going to be picked up. Well, if all else fails, Lake could always manage her 10 year-old son Milo. The little guy gave a jaw-dropping performance at the A.L.S. benefit when he jammed on acoustic guitar with a blues band. Later on, he performed again with another guitarist. This time Milo, played an electric guitar. And that's not all—the night before, Milo played the Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, California. Bragging like a true stage mom, Lake cooed, "He brought the house down!"Marc Malkin 'E'
