Episode 491 Tube ThrillerThursday 22nd March 2007 8.00 to 9.00pm ITV1 Sergeant Smithys (Alex Walkinshaw) day gets off to a bad start when he comes across Ryan Jones (Michael Maloney) who is holding up the traffic. Helping to push the car to the side of the road Smithy spots blood on the boot, Ryan makes a run for it, Smithy is horrified when he opens the boot to find Ryans wifes body shes been beaten to death. As DCI Jack Meadows (Simon Rouse) and DC Mickey Webb (Chris Simmons) arrive Smithy admits that he dealt with Ryan the day before and let slip to Ryans wife, that her husband had been using an internet sex site.Elsewhere PCs Roger Valentine (John Bowler) and Diane Noble (Kaye Wraff) spot Ryan armed with a gun, heading to the underground, they give chase but Ryan manages to jump onto a tube before the doors close.
