Following Ryan Murphy and Netflix's huge deal to create a slew of content for the streaming service, fans of the award-winning, critically-acclaimed showrunner can now get their first glimpse of his eight-part Netflix comedy series, The Politician.

Ben Platt takes on the role of Payton Hobart in the show; a wealthy student from Santa Barbara, California, who has known since being seven that he would one day become President of the United States. Until that point however, he'll be forced to navigate Saint Sebastian High School, where he's got his eyes on the role of Student Body President, as well as a spot at Harvard University.

Of course, the world of politics isn't as morality-driven as we would like to think, so Payton is forced to play the game to outsmart his classmates, without sacrificing his carefully crafted image.
