House of Cards is back for a second season this February, and we've got our hands on some brand new first look photos from the upcoming episodes.

The 13-part season will follow Francis (Kevin Spacey) and Claire (Robin Wright) as their rise to power continues, but on their ruthless journey to the top they'll be faced with even more threats than ever before.

Reporter Zoe (Kate Mara) is inching ever closer to discovering the truth about the wicked couple's crimes, and demands are made of Francis from Raymond (Gerald McRaney) that he must reciprocate political favours from President Walker (Michel Gill) or face retribution.

Meanwhile, Claire's struggling to keep her once private life under wraps as the constant glare of the spotlight continues to peel away at their existance.

Regardless of any collateral damage, the pair are ready to do whatever it takes to remain successful and avoid losing everything they've worked so hard for.

The second season of House of Cards is to be uploaded in its entirety to Netflix on February 14 in all territories that have access to the streaming service.
