Joining The Xtra Factor this year as co-host alongside Rochelle Humes, Melvin Odoom has made a great impression on fans of the show, so we decided to probe him about his favourite performances of X Factor series past.

"I should really include my own performance of Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' at Bootcamp this year, (come on we all know the baby oil and pink outfit set it off), however this is a list of my top 5 past X Factor performances ever..."

5. Cher Lloyd

"When 16-year-old Cher Lloyd performed 'Turn My Swag On' in 2010 she did what it said on the tin and it was the most swagalicious performance the show has ever seen. The internet went crazy plus, she even got noticed overseas."

4. Danyl Johnson

"It was a great first audition with bundles of personality and he really connected with the crowd. It's one I will never forget. He looked like he enjoyed every second of it and had the crowd in the palm of his hand, sadly it was a performance he couldn't top when he went to the live shows."

3. Olly Murs

"In 2009 the cheeky Essex chappy won his way into our hearts with his soulful rendition of Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition'... the vocals and dance moves were absolute class and this was just the start of his journey to stardom!"

2. Beyoncé and Alexandra Burke

"Meeting your hero is never easy, imagine singing with them! Well, Alexandra Burke held her own in The X Factor final when she performed 'Listen' with her idol Beyoncé. It was an emotional and powerful performance from both, securing her place as The X Factor winner!

1. Leona Lewis

"I still believe Leona Lewis is one of the best vocalists to come out of The X Factor and I have to say she is actually the reason I started watching the show. Her final pitch perfect performance of 'A Moment Like This' was a fitting song cementing her as the 2006 X Factor winner."

The current series of The X Factor continues this weekend at 8pm on Saturday October 24 and 7.30pm on Sunday October 25.
