Series 7 saw just under seven million viewers

It has seen new cast members, challenges, and plenty of cons, but the hit BBC One show is back for the final time tonight.

The eighth series will see more Robin Hood-esque tactics as Mickey Stone, played by Adrian Lester, and his gang of grifters find themselves in even more compromising situations, as they try to avoid jail whilst taking money from the rich and greedy.

Robert Vaughn continues to play the old but wise Albert Stroller, and Robert Glenister will return as Ash Morgan. They'll once again be joined by brother and sister duo, Emma and Sean Kennedy, played by Kelly Adams and Matt Di Angelo, as they con their way around London.

The contracts of the current cast ran out last year, when it was thought that the show might finish, but huge ratings meant that the producers decided to keep it going a little longer - the last series drew in an average audience of 6.8million viewers.

Although hoped to be a surprise, word got out of the re-appearance of original cast member Stacie Monroe, played by Jaime Murray, in the final episode for what will no doubt be a spectacular end to a brilliant series.

Hustle, tonight (Friday January 13), BBC One, 9pm.
