Moley is an upcoming show all about a mole and his fun, yet challenging escapades. Moley, who is voiced by Warwick Davis, is a lovable young mole who lives in a deep burrow under Windsor Castle in the busy and thrilling city of MoleTown; this marvellous mole is the The Keeper of the Mystical Manual of Magic (or as he likes to call him, Manny).

The series follows the city-wide famous mole who is always being in demand, which can bring both excitement and a little bit of worry. Every day, Moley is asked to participate in events, sometimes ones he’s not very good at, learn about new cultures from all manners of moles, and share what he knows about the humans up above.

Despite being seen as a ‘mole of the world’ with all the answers, Moley is just a regular joe, and isn’t as knowledgeable and confident as he seems to the adoring citizens. He does have a magic book, yes, and he’s been to some amazing places, but he’s quite simply just... Moley.

Moley sees its titular hero take on some interesting and hilarious events, such as joining a tunnel race (despite never driving a racing car before), or entering into a cooking competition (even though he’s never really cooked anything), or sharing the cultures of diverse moles (none of which he knows very well), Moley always manages to end up in a sticky situation.

Luckily for him, he has his best friends in the whole world to help him out of these very situations he got himself into. Mona Lisa’s (Gemma Arterton) intelligence helps Moley understand the public eye, and his best friend Dotty (Jessica Henwick) is always on hand to help Moley with each and every adventure!

Joining Davis and Henwick in this hilarious family friendly series, are Stanley Tucci (The Devil Wears Prada, Easy A), Julie Walters (Mamma Mia!), Richard E. Grant (Logan), Charles Dance (Me Before You), Hilary Whitehall (Fearce Creatures), with Togo Igawa (Johny English Reborn), and Trevor Dion Nicholas (Lego Marvel Superheroes 2).

Moley will span 52 episodes in total; the first 13 episodes will arrive this October (2021), with the rest coming out periodically through 2022 and 2023.

The first episode is titled The Magic Rectangle, in which a mobile phone falls into Roley Poley park from the Great Above (where the humans live), and the entire population seems to be enthralled with it.

Moley must break the ‘spell’ this odd object has seemingly cast on the citizens of MoleTown, and hope that everyone can return to normal. Other episodes include Groundmole Day, Who Arted?, and Some Like It Cool.

Davis has said, when asked about why he enjoys his role as Moley, that “The stories are such wonderful creations and I love the idea that MoleTown exists beneath the planet, a place where moles from different countries and backgrounds come together. I think that’s a terrific idea in today’s world.”

Moley will arrive on Boomerang UK on October 4th, 2021.
