The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge is a massive fan of the ITV show, and after both her parents appeared as extras in the latest series, she's reportedly told producers she'd do anything just to get a few minutes of screen time in the upcoming final episodes.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "She has apparently told them that she would even play a corpse if it means nabbing a part.

"She may just get her wish as bosses are said to be keen. Amanda's a huge fan of 'Doc Martin' and would love to follow in [her parents'] footsteps."

The 46-year-old actress is said to be so obsessed with the show, she frequently visits Port Isaac, Cornwall, which doubles as the programme's fictional village of Portwenn.

Amanda isn't the only star who wants to appear on 'Doc Martin', which stars Martin Clunes as the grumpy titular medic.

'Rocky' star Carl Weathers recently revealed he is surprisingly a fan of the quaint medical drama and since his fellow 80s action peer Sigourney Weaver landed a part in it, he has made it his mission to land a cameo before ITV call time on the programme in 2018.

He said: "That show 'Doc Martin' is a wonderful show, I love it. I really like that show, I can't believe Sigourney Weaver was in it.

"He (Martin Clunes) is an interesting actor and the character is so quirky and wonderful. And the setting in the country in that small town is wonderful. If Sigourney Weaver can be in 'Doc Martin' then why not Carl Weathers?"
