The 49-year-old 'Britain's Got Talent' judge has been married to music producer Chris Hughes since 2008 and Amanda says they have been enjoying some "lockdown loving" while quarantining at home with their two children, Lexi, 14, and Hollie, eight.

Amanda told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "This whole thing has been great for my marriage. I know people are talking about it causing spikes in baby-making and divorce rates, but for us it has been brilliant.

"I'm too old for more babies but our relationship is stronger than ever. It's all about the lockdown loving.

"You'd never know it because whenever I post photos online Chris refuses to be in them - or he takes them - but getting all this time together for once has been great."

And Amanda thinks the key to her happy marriage with Chris is laughter.

She explained: "I try not to take life too seriously, I'm always trying to look on the bright side of everything because I probably would have fallen down a massive black hole if I didn't.

"That's why I'm blessed having Chris as well because he's such a laugh, he's like a stand-up comedian.

"Even in the darkest of hours, we will find something to laugh about and smile about."

And Amanda - who releases her debut single, 'Over the Rainbow' on Friday (01.05.20), with all proceeds going to NHS Charities Together - feels "lucky" that she gets to spend some quality time with Chris and the girls during lockdown.

She explained: "I feel very lucky to be relishing our time together as a family, to be able to slow down take a good look around me. As a family we have rejigged our time together and are enjoying each other's company - and I really am in lockdown with my favourite people in the world."
