The 'Loose Women' panellist had admitted filming for the intense reality show - which sees celebrities being trained by real life ex-SAS soldiers - was incredibly tough with a host of gruelling challenges set for the recruits as they spent time in Chile.

She told the Daily Star: "People will see me at my most broken and raw and vulnerable on this show. There were moments that were very hard.

"In life when something hurts, it's easy t stop. But this has taught me to keep going."

She added: "I think people underestimate women a lot of the time. The thing is, I'm kind and warm and generous and people might mistake that for weakness.

"But I'm not weak. I'm actually very strong. And I'm the oldest person who has ever done this show."

The current series - airing now on Channel 4 for Stand Up to Cancer - features 12 celebrities tasked with "living and operating at high altitude, with a lack of oxygen, in freezing temperatures and unforgiving snow storms".
