Anthony McPartlin, 48, and Declan Donnelly, 48, are due to return to screens this Saturday (24.02.24) for the game show's final season ahead of a hiatus, and the pair have joked they are anxious about participating in their comical game, in which they will be forced to act on instructions from celebrities via hidden earpieces.

The segment will be a twist on the original 'Get Out Of Me Ear', in which the duo have previously instructed stars such as Louis Walsh, Davina McCall and Craig Revel Horwood what to do when they are among members of the public, often resulting in hilarity.

Ant said: "Normally when you're trying to get celebrities for things like this it's hard to pin them down because of busy diaries but we've been told that everyone who they asked immediately said yes and made themselves available.

"We're very nervous about this."

The hosts also teased that an upcoming 'Undercover' prank on Simon Cowell - in which the duo will go incognito and mess around with the 'The X Factor' judge's day - will be "very, very funny".

Dec explained: "We are ending the Undercovers where we started ... with Simon Cowell! Our first ever Undercover was on Simon in LA when he was a judge on 'American Idol'.

"So we've gone back and got Simon Cowell again. We went out to L.A. and gave him the day from hell whilst he was judging on 'America's Got Talent'."

Ant added: "It was even sweeter getting him the second time round because we also got him during his downtime as he's riding his bike around Malibu, it's very, very funny."

Sadly for fans of the programme, the pair have revealed the upcoming 20th season will be the last for a while so that they can "catch their breath".

Previously, Ant said: "We love making 'Saturday Night Takeaway', but reaching the milestone of 20 series seemed like the perfect time to pause for a little while and catch our breath."

His co-star added: "We still have a momentous twentieth series to look forward to first so we will do our best to go out (for now) with a bang in 2024!"
