The 40-year-old musician admitted there is added pressure involved if he takes part in any TV shows nowadays, after fellow bandmate Matt Willis previously won 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' and Charlie Simpson triumphed on 'The Masked Singer', but he only wants to take part in programmes he watched as a kid.

Speaking on 'Lorraine', James said: "For all the TV shows I want to go on, I want to go on 'Crystal Maze', those kinds of shows.

"I would love to do a show I liked growing up, like 'Fun House'."

Charlie said: "['Fun House' host] Pat Sharp came to our show. I loved 'Fun House' back in the day. They should bring it back."

When Lorraine Kelly suggested James would be great on 'Strictly Come Dancing', the star insisted he wouldn't take part because he doesn't like the sequin-covered outfits contestants wear.

He said: "I would enjoy a dancing show. I like to dance - I just don't like the outfits.

"I'm not a big fan of the outfits."

Pat, 62, previously insisted he doesn't think Fun House's enduring success can ever be replicated again.

He hosted the popular ITV children's television classic from 1989 to 1999, and over two decades after the show was last on screen, people still have fond memories of gathering round to watch it.

Speaking in 2019, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I get people who say to me - big lorry drivers, 25 stone blokes come up to me, and say 'You made my childhood!' And I go, 'Well, that's just as well considering the size of you!'

"But that's such a nice thing to hear. I don't think anybody who is now 11 or 12 years old watching the massive amounts of kids TV they can watch on YouTube, or any of the TV channels or whatever, are ever going to remember those shows in 20 or 30 years time!

"These people have remembered 'Fun House', so I'm quite lucky to have come from that generation because it's never going to happen again!"
