Catherine Tyldesley has confirmed Sue Johnston is quitting 'Coronation Street'.

The blonde stunner - who plays Eva Price on the ITV soap - admits she is going to be devastated when her on-screen grandmother Sue (Gloria Price) leaves the show next year because she has formed a family-like bond with her and her on-screen mother Michelle Collins (Stella Price).

She told BANG Showbiz: "I'm incredibly close with Michelle Collins and Sue Johnston. They have literally become like my second mum and my second grandma - they're amazing. I'm going to be really sad when they go. I always ask Michelle for advice.

"We're all really friendly, we all get on really well. My best friends on set are Paula Lane, Anthony Cotton, Michelle Collins, Sue Johnston and Michelle Keegan."

While the 29-year-old beauty is disappointed about the pair's upcoming departure from the 'Corrie' cobbles, she is hoping to be cheered up by being picked as one of Michelle Keegan's bridesmaids after the brunette star (Tina McIntyre) got engaged to former 'Only Way is Essex' hunk Mark Wright.

Catherine joked: "I might just rock up as a bridesmaid and see what happens.

"I've had plenty of practice - I've been bridesmaid twice as Eva. Hint, hint, Michelle."
